EWG Verified

EWG Verified® is a mark of transparency and safety for mattresses. This gold standard ensures all ingredients and materials are publicly disclosed, prioritizing safer product components with lower-emitting volatile organic compounds.

EWG Verified® mattresses are prohibited from using harmful chemicals, flame retardants, fiberglass, PVCs, and PFAS “forever” chemicals, reflecting a commitment to healthy sleep.

Global Organic Latex Standard

The Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS) ensures latex products contain more than 95% certified organic raw material based on total weight. The standard also features permissible limits for harmful substances, emissions test requirements, and polymer and filler percentages.

Global Organic Textile Standard

Our organic mattresses, pillows, and bedding are also GOTS-certified organic products (CU863637), which have at least 95% organic content, excluding required accessories.

GOTS certification ensures that textiles and finished products are made from organic fibers and meet rigorous environmental and social criteria throughout their production process, from harvesting raw materials to manufacturing and labeling.

Greenguard Gold

Avocado has achieved GREENGUARD Gold Certification by UL Environment for our mattress and bedding products. That means they meet some of the world's most rigorous emissions standards for chemical exposure and pollutants.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100

Oeko-Tex is one of the oldest and most reliable standards out there. Although less recognizable by customers outside of Europe, when you see it on a product you can be certain it’s been tested for hundreds of chemicals and harmful substances.

It requires low emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and formaldehyde from foam, and bans the use of some chemical flame retardants, colorants and allergenic dyes.

Includes regulations on prohibited azo dyes, formaldehyde, nickel etc. Also includes chemicals harmful to health, even if not yet regulated by law. Requirements vary by textile usage class:

• Product class I: Articles for babies and toddlers
• Product class II: Articles used close to the skin
• Product class III: Articles used away from the skin
• Product class IV: Materials

This certificate is only issued by Oeko-Tex themselves, ensuring the above strict criteria is met, giving trust to customers.
